2027: Adelabu to formally declare governorship ambition on Tuesday

The immediate past Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu will on Tuesday formslly declare his intention to contest the Oyo state gubernatorial elections.

Adelabu, a prominent gubernatorial aspirant on the APC platform, made this assertion in a statement released to the press on Saturday.

The former minister revealed that his decision to contest the next governorship race is driven by a commitment to building a better Oyo State.

He noted that his focus remains on unifying the party to ensure a seamless transition back to APC governance, promising a tenure centered on development and strategic growth for the Pacesetter State.

He described the upcoming event as the start of a renewed political journey aimed at restoring what he termed progressive leadership to the state.

“APC will reclaim power in Oyo State in 2027 through unity, commitment, and the unwavering support of our party faithful and residents,” he declared.

Recall that Adelabu has previously contested the governorship elections twice ob the platforms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019 and the Accord Party in 2023 losing both elections to the sitting Governor, Engr.Seyi Makinde.
