Yabatech unveils logo with 50m endowment fund

The Yaba College of Technology has unveiled its logo with a 50 million Naira endowment fund to provide a stable and consistent funding source to enhance students, departments research for future use.

While at the launching of the endowment fund logo, the Rector, Yabatech, Mr Obafemi Omokungbe, stated that the inauguration of the endowment fund programme would be held on September 15, 2022 at Eko Hotel and Suits at Victoria Island with the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in attendance.

He said the vision toward the initiative  is to focus on the challenges of infrastructural deficit and obsolete non-functional equipment affecting the college.

“The unveiling of the logo is the first phase of the launching of the endowment fund. We want the world to know what we are doing through this platform.”

Present at the event was the  special guest of honour, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, SIFAX Group, Dr Taiwo Afolabi, who was represented by Group Executive Director, SIFAX Group, Mr Bode Ojeniyi.

Dr Afolabi commended the management of Yabatech for pulling much effort to restructure the 75-year-old premier higher institution in Nigeria via the establishment of the endowment fund programme.

He also appealed to Nigerians to contribute to the development of the college.
