WAFU-U17: flamingos’ 20-player squad arrive Cote d’Ivoire

Nigeria’s female U-17 team the Flamingos have arrived Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, on their way to the City of Yamoussoukro for the 2nd WAFU-B U-17 girls’ tournament.

The coach Hakeem Busari-led team left Abuja on Monday morning with a squad of 20 players to execute the tournament in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire.

The girls will face Niger Republic in their opening game on Wednesday before trading tackles with the Princesses of Ghana on Saturday.

The tournament is a prime preparatory competition for the girls ahead of the U-17 World World finals coming on in Morocco from  Oct. 17 to Nov. 8 where the Flamingos are grouped with North Korea, Puerto Rico and Poland in Group B.
