Paul Ibe, media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has urged Nigerians to vote out President Bola Tinubu for breaking his promise to fix Nigeria’s power sector.

In a post on Facebook, Ibe recalled that President Tinubu had previously campaigned on a promise to fix the country’s chronic electricity challenges, even inviting citizens to reject him if he failed to deliver.

According to Ibe, that foundational pledge remains unfulfilled, symbolizing a broader pattern of unkept promises.

Ibe argued that the administration’s policy decisions most notably the removal of the petrol subsidy have triggered compounding crises, sending energy bills, transport fares, and business operational costs soaring.

He maintained that instead of experiencing relief, everyday citizens have seen their purchasing power severely weakened, leaving vulnerable families struggling to secure basic daily meals.

He also raised urgent concerns over pervasive national insecurity and the spiraling cost of staple foods, asserting that the current government has left the populace feeling preyed upon rather than protected.
