US Air Force delivers equipment to Nigerian Air Force

The United States Air Force has delivered military equipment to the Nigerian Air Force as part of efforts to strengthen defence cooperation between both countries and support Nigeria’s fight against terrorism.

The equipment was delivered over the weekend by a U.S. Air Force C-17 aircraft under a Foreign Military Sales agreement between the United States and Nigeria.

The development further highlights the growing security partnership between the two countries, particularly as Nigeria continues its operations against terrorist groups and other armed threats.

Announcing the delivery, the U.S. Air Force described the development as “partnership in action,” stressing the importance of the military relationship between both countries.

The U.S. Air Force said, “A U.S. Air Force C-17 delivers equipment to the Nigerian Air Force this weekend. The equipment is part of a foreign military sales agreement that furthers the U.S.-Nigerian partnership and will aid in Nigeria’s efforts to counter terrorism in the region.”

The latest delivery is expected to provide additional support to the Nigerian Air Force as it carries out operations aimed at degrading terrorist groups and protecting communities affected by insecurity.
