Unveiling Owolabi Ololade Ayomide, another upcoming Nollywood star to watch

The Nigerian movie industry is set to welcome a fresh wave of talented, emerging creatives into Nollywood. One such rising star is Owolabi Ololade Ayomide, a young, shy yet determined artist whose father, Owolabi Ajasa, is the current Governor of TAMPAN (Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria).
Unbeknownst to his father, Ololade Ayomide began showcasing his talent in scriptwriting, film directing, casting, and other aspects of movie production while still an undergraduate at the Federal College of Education, Osele, Abeokuta. After graduating, he continued to develop his skills in film production, much to the surprise and delight of his father, who has since welcomed his son’s entry into the industry.
In an interview with the multi-talented young artist during a film shoot in Abeokuta, the Egba-born, soft-spoken actor opened up about his decision to venture into drama production.
According to Owolabi Ayomide, he could no longer hide his passion for drama production after graduating from FCE Osele, which led him to inform his father about his decision to pursue a career in film. He received his father’s blessing for this new direction in life.
“I want to thank my parents for giving me the opportunity to display my talent in movie production. I am committed to giving my best to Nollywood as we enter another year,” he said.
