Uba Sani nominates Adams as running mate

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has officially nominated Mr. Jerry Adams, the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), as his running mate for the upcoming 2027 governorship election.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Governor Sani disclosed that the decision followed extensive consultations, deep reflection, and prayers. He emphasized that the selection goes beyond standard political strategy, describing it as a reaffirmation of his administration’s commitment to justice, equity, social inclusion, and fostering a genuine sense of belonging among all citizens in the state.
The governor highlighted the state’s rich ethnic and religious diversity, framing it as a source of strength rather than division.
He noted that over the past three years, his administration has worked to rebuild public confidence through key infrastructure projects, social investments, and security improvements across all 23 local government areas to ensure no community is left behind.
Commending the nominee, Sani praised Adams as an accomplished public servant and tax administrator who transformed KADIRS into a highly respected revenue agency.
He added that Adams’ fiscal leadership helped strengthen the state’s capacity to invest in critical public sectors, including education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
The Governor further urged residents to view the nomination through a broader vision of unity and progress rather than narrow regional or religious perspectives, calling on citizens to support the administration in building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous future for Kaduna State.
