Transcorp Power to pay N11.25bn interim dividend

...as H1 profit hits N77.6bn
Transcorp Power Plc, a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc, has released its unaudited financial results for the half-year ended 30 June 2025, reporting a 52 percent year-on-year increase in revenue to N205.8 billion, up from N135.4 billion in the corresponding period of 2024.
The company attributed its robust performance to enhanced generation capacity and improved operational efficiency, reflecting continued investment in infrastructure and service delivery.
Gross profit rose to N77.6 billion from N62.9 billion, with a gross margin of 23 percent. Profit before tax advanced by 15 percent to N58.7 billion, compared with N51.0 billion in H1 2024.
The results underscore Transcorp Power’s capacity to sustain profitability despite inflationary pressures and foreign exchange volatility, supported by effective pricing strategies, disciplined cost control, and a focus on delivering stronger returns to shareholders.
In line with its commitment to shareholder value, the company declared an interim dividend of N11.25 billion, equivalent to N1.50 for every 50 kobo ordinary share, subject to applicable withholding tax.
Shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on Friday, 8 August 2025, will qualify for the dividend. The Register will be closed from Monday, 11 August to Thursday, 14 August 2025, both dates inclusive.
Payments will be made electronically on Monday, 18 August 2025, to shareholders who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar for direct bank transfers.
Commenting on the results, Emmanuel Nnorom, Chairman of Transcorp Power Plc, said: “Our strong performance in the first half of 2025 reflects disciplined cost management, efficient operations, and resilience in the face of economic challenges. This solid foundation continues to build investor confidence in our long-term growth potential.”
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Peter Ikenga added: “Our H1 2025 results demonstrate the benefits of sustained investment in our plant. Generation increased by 100MW compared to the same period last year, and we remain committed to creating lasting value for our shareholders and the country.
“We are confident in maintaining our growth momentum through the second half of 2025 as we advance our mission to power Nigeria and Africa.”
