Total energies marketing posts ₦1.3trn revenue

TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria PLC has declared a historic revenue of ₦1.32 trillion for its fifth-quarter (Q5) 2025 financial period, marking a 108% surge from the ₦635.9 billion reported in the previous 2024 fiscal year.
The audited financial statements, released on Monday, reveal that despite a high-inflation environment, the energy marketer achieved a post-tax profit of ₦21.4 billion, a significant rise from the ₦12.9 billion recorded in the prior year.
The company’s growth was largely driven by a substantial increase in the sale of petroleum products, which generated ₦1.05 trillion, while the lubricants and specialties segment contributed ₦267.8 billion to the top line.
However, the cost of sales also expanded significantly to ₦1.16 trillion, reflecting the rising cost of product imports and logistical expenses.
The Board of Directors noted that while finance costs climbed to ₦15.7 billion due to the interest rate environment, the company maintained a healthy gross profit of ₦161.4 billion, reinforcing its market leadership in the downstream energy sector as it transitions into the 2026 operating year.
