President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the former Governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shehu Shema, on the occasion of his 68th birthday.
The President, in a message issued from the State House, joined family, friends, and associates to celebrate Shema, describing him as a visionary leader whose legacy of statesmanship and financial discipline remains a reference point in Nigeria.
President Tinubu commended the former governor for his patriotism and commitment to human and infrastructural development, noting his contributions across various sectors in Katsina State.
He recalled that Shema’s tenure as governor saw major investments in education and healthcare, including the construction of new secondary schools, girl-child primary schools, Almajiri model schools, ICT and business institutes, clinics, and a 250-bed specialist hospital.
The President further acknowledged Shema’s current role as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), praising his achievements and numerous awards.
He prayed that God would grant the former governor many more years in good health and continued service to the nation.
