Tinubu commissions nursing quarters, mega schools in Borno

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has commissioned a newly constructed nursing quarters and two mega primary schools in Maiduguri, Borno State.
These projects, executed by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, represent a strategic effort to enhance healthcare delivery and modernize education infrastructure within the region.
The nursing quarters, situated near the State Specialist Hospital, consists of eight blocks comprising six flats each.
The facility was designed to provide high-quality accommodation for health workers, thereby improving staff retention and service efficiency.
In the education sector, the First Lady inaugurated Aliyakeri and Abbaganaram Primary Schools. Each institution features 48 classrooms and is fully equipped with ICT centers, e-learning facilities, sports infrastructure, and solar-power systems.
Senator Tinubu commended Governor Zulum for his significant investments in critical social sectors, noting that these initiatives directly address the state’s development needs and improve learning outcomes.
Speaking, Prof.Zulum revealed that his administration has now constructed 104 mega schools across the state’s 27 Local Government Areas, with several more currently under development.
