President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining ongoing economic reforms, emphasizing that the focus remains on citizen inclusion and grassroots empowerment to achieve national prosperity.

During a high-profile one-day official visit to Yola, Adamawa State, on Monday, the President expressed satisfaction with the tangible results of these reforms, which he noted have enabled increased allocations to state governments for transformative projects in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

In a glowing assessment of local governance, the President praised Governor Umaru Fintiri for his “
excellent service and vision for the state’s development.

President Tinubu specifically highlighted the construction of an eight-lane road and a strategic underpass designed to stimulate commerce and ease mobility, alongside a modern High Court complex intended to strengthen the administration of justice.

The President characterized Governor Fintiri’s leadership as a true reflection of government of the people, noting that the solidarity between the federal government and subnationals is essential for achieving macroeconomic success and national food security.

During the visit, Governor Fintiri detailed the financial scale of these projects, including a ₦24.8 billion investment in 21 model schools across the state and ₦15.6 billion for the Galadima Aminu expansion, which features an overhead bridge and dualized roadways.

The President also took a moment to laud the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu a native of Adamawa for his courageous leadership in the fight against banditry and terrorism.
The event was attended by five governors from across the North East and North Central regions, signaling a unified front in support of the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.
