Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has called on the electorate in Rivers State to support President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027 to maintain the progress recorded in the state.
Wike made the appeal during his “thank you” visit to Degema Local Government Area (LGA), highlighting the unprecedented attention Tinubu has given Rivers, including developmental projects, strategic appointments, and human capital initiatives.
“The people of Rivers have never had it this good,” Wike said, urging residents to continue their support to ensure these gains are sustained and expanded. He acknowledged that the attention given to Rivers had attracted envy from other quarters but stressed that Tinubu’s reelection would propel the state to greater heights.
Earlier, Mr. Peter Abe, member representing Degema LGA in the State Assembly, thanked Wike for his leadership, noting the benefits delivered across all communities in Rivers since 2023.
The Chairman of the council, Michael Williams, also assured the minister of continued support, pledging that all community structures would back Tinubu’s reelection.
