Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc has announced significant changes to its board following its 137th board meeting held on November 19, 2025.
In a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), shareholders, and the investing public, the company disclosed the exit of three members of its Board of Directors, marking a major reshuffle in the company’s leadership structure.
According to the statement issued and signed by Equity Union Limited, the Company Secretaries, Ms. Emi Faloughi, a Non-Executive Director, has retired from the board.
The company also confirmed the retirement of Mrs. Ugochi Odemelam from her role as Executive Director.
Additionally, the Board accepted the resignation of Mr. Emmanuel Anikibe, who previously served as Executive Director (Technical).
Sovereign Trust Insurance expressed appreciation for the contributions of the outgoing directors, noting that their service played a key role in the company’s growth over the years.
“The Board of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc thanks Ms. Emi Faloughi, Mrs. Ugochi Odemelam and Mr. Emmanuel Anikibe for their immense contributions to the Company and wishes them well in their future endeavours,” the notice read.
The company is however yet to announce replacements for the vacated positions.
