Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has reaffirmed his commitment to good governance and sustainable development, saying his administration remains focused on tangible achievements rather than political campaigns.

Speaking on Sunday Politics, a Channels Television programme, while unveiling his second-term blueprint, Soludo said his team has continued to deliver on its promises through massive infrastructural projects, education reforms, and youth empowerment initiatives.

He said: “Currently, we are supposed to be campaigning, but we are busy inspecting roads, starting new ones, and commissioning others. Our priority is service to the people, not politics.”

The governor highlighted that his administration had employed qualified teachers from across Nigeria to strengthen the education system in Anambra.

He added: “We recruited standard teachers from all parts of the country to ensure quality education in our schools.

“This effort has yielded positive results, as the academic performance of our students has improved significantly, with a noticeable rise in our WAEC ranking.”

On youth development, Soludo revealed that over 30,000 young people have benefitted from various empowerment and entrepreneurship programmes initiated by his administration. These programmes, he said, aim to make the youth self-reliant and productive contributors to the state’s economy.

He noted: “Our government believes in empowering young people with skills and opportunities. More than 30,000 youths have been trained and supported to start small and medium-scale enterprises, while we continue to expand infrastructure across all local government areas.”

Soludo reiterated that his administration’s second-term plan will build on the solid foundation already laid, with renewed emphasis on industrialisation, digital innovation, agriculture, and human capital development.

“As we unveil our next phase, we will deepen what we have started improving infrastructure, expanding job creation, and ensuring that Anambra continues to lead in education and innovation,” he said.
