Solewant Group to host 9th Energy Summit to drive Africa’s tech-led energy future

Solewant Group has announced that the 9th edition of its annual Energy Summit will hold from November 27 to 28, 2025, at the Solewant Industrial Park, Alode-Onne, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The event, themed “Emerging Technologies and the Future of Sustainable Energy Development in Africa,” will examine how Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, automation, data analytics, and other digital tools are transforming Africa’s energy industry.
The two-day summit will bring together policymakers, energy executives, investors, development partners, and researchers from across the continent to explore ways to build a sustainable and technologically advanced energy future for Africa.
The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Solewant Group, Mr. Solomon Ewanehi, said the summit would serve as a platform for collaboration and innovation among key stakeholders in the sector.
He said the company is committed to building bridges between policy, investment, and technology to accelerate Africa’s sustainable energy transition.
The summit will feature keynote speeches from industry leaders, government representatives, and technical experts from major organisations such as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), international oil companies, and engineering and construction firms.
There will also be strategic panel discussions, exhibitions of intelligent energy solutions, technical presentations, case studies from across Africa, and capacity-building workshops designed to drive innovation and knowledge exchange.
Key outcomes of the summit include new investment commitments across Africa’s energy value chain, the launch of the Africa Energy Innovation Network (AEIN), and recommendations to strengthen local content development and technical capacity within the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors.
The summit will also provide a platform for business matchmaking and partnership opportunities among investors, project developers, and corporate leaders under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) framework.
Participants are expected to develop a policy and regulatory roadmap that will support digital transformation and clean energy transition across the continent.
The event will end with the Solewant Awards and Gala Night powered by SETI, where outstanding organisations and individuals contributing to Africa’s industrial and energy advancement will be honoured.
Solewant Group has maintained a leadership position in pipeline coating, fabrication, and asset integrity management across Nigeria.
The company’s industrial park in Alode-Onne houses one of Africa’s most advanced multi-layer pipe coating plants and a dedicated pipe bend coating facility commissioned in mid-2025 in partnership with Euro-American Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has commended Solewant for its new pipe bend coating plant, describing it as evidence of what can be achieved when local companies are empowered to own and operate strategic assets.
Previous editions of the Solewant Energy Summit have influenced policy discussions, attracted investment pledges, and strengthened partnerships within the industry.
The 2025 edition aims to deepen technology transfer, boost local capacity, and promote cross-border industrial cooperation in Africa’s evolving energy landscape.
The event will take place daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Solewant Industrial Park, Alode-Onne, Port Harcourt.
