The Federated Organisation of Sokoto State Students’ Association (FOSOSSA) has commended Gov. Ahmed Aliyu for his remarkable achievements in the education sector of the state.

The President of FOSOSSA Mr Yusuf Sabiu, made the commendation during a press briefing on Sunday in Sokoto.

Sabiu described Aliyu as a beacon of hope and a staunch supporter of students.

He praised the Governor for his philanthropic nature and dynamic leadership.

“He has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the welfare of students, showcasing his dedication to educational development and student empowerment.

“As students, we are not just celebrating the governor’s achievements, but also reaffirming our solidarity and shared vision as partners in progress toward a peaceful, educated, and prosperous Sokoto state,” he stated.

Highlighting the administration’s achievements in education, Sabiu extolled the clearance of outstanding students’ debts amounting to over N3 billion and the successful accreditation of state-owned tertiary institutions.

“We have witnessed a total rehabilitation of our tertiary education system and the governor’s commitment to ensuring that all residents have access to quality education,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of Sokoto State students across Nigeria and beyond, he congratulated Aliyu on what he described as “two years of purposeful leadership.”

Sabiu also extended appreciation to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Students’ Matters, Malam Abubakar Salame, for his unwavering dedication and efforts toward the welfare and progress of Sokoto state students.
