SHE Global Awards, a notable annual award event has recognized and rewarded women from different countries accross the world who are trail blazers, doing exploits in their respective fields
The award ceremony which brought women from different spheres of life together had its 5th edition held in Lagos, Nigeria on Sunday with the theme- “The Lipstick Force”.
According to the chairwoman of the day, Vice President, International Business Persons and Diplomats Union, Turkey, Nala Ozkan, she expressed, “As Diplomats we believe in gender equality and women’s rights, we carry out various projects in this regard both in Turkey and the international area”.
Nala noted that the Forum, ‘She Global Awards’ is not just a gathering but a platform to enhance the voices of women in the continents, not only recognizing challenges but pointing out solutions and a platform to share insights, to be inspired and create an equitable future.
She further called out for the support of women, to enhance economic Development and growth in the global space.
Meanwhile, The chairman of the day, Managing Director, M&C Global Group, Ghana, Mr Michael Vanderpuye who was also identified as a He for She at the award ceremony admonished women to be focused, stating, “whatever you put your mind to, you can achieve it. And instead of fighting against each other, complement each other. Instead of having competition in business, why not collaborate? And together, we will all win” he said.
While pinpointing that the expected change starts with every woman as an individual, Mr Vanderpuye noted that the award ceremony is a platform that goes beyond the award or recognition, “It is an avenue for networking. Networking should not only be done when one attends events but you are expected to network everywhere you go”, he advised the women.
However, In her welcome speech, the Convener, She Global Awards and Ladies on Business Magazine Global, Adesola Onadipe noted that the award is channelled at encouraging women to be the best versions of themselves.
She explained that It is a movement, celebration of excellence and a tribute to the power, global passion and the purpose of women around the world.
“Under the vibrant theme; ‘The Lip Stick Force’ Adesola expressed, “We gather to recognize and honor women who are not only breaking barriers, but also building bridges across industries, cultures and continents.
Moreso, Adesola noted that this year’s theme is boldly declared in respect to the strength of a woman, which is not silence, it is vibrance, resilience and revolutionary. According to her, “The Lip Stick Force represents every woman who rises with grace, leads with courage and lifts others as she can”, enumerating that It is a symbol of unapologetic strength, unwavering confidence and unstoppable actions.
“Bearing in mind that this award is not just an ordinary award, it is a global award that celebrates true success of real women with genuine growth. It is an award that counts on the strong personality and performance of individuals who stand a chance to go global upon receiving this prestigious award.

The event featured several awardees as; Dr Teresa Hernandez; Dr. Mrs Chiesonu Iziga Erichalu; Toyin Oyeniran, CEO, Tam Cuisine; CEO, Byliz, Mrs Funke Ijayekunle; UN Ambassador, Abayomi Rotimi Mighty; Dr Kalu Genevieve Obumneke; Dr. Mrs Moji Davies amongst others.
