Seplat Energy announces $63m final dividend payout for 2025 fiscal year

Seplat Energy PLC has officially announced its final and special dividend payout following a robust performance for the 2025 financial year.

In a corporate filing released on Thursday, the energy giant revealed that its Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of US$3.0 cents per share, alongside a special dividend of US$3.0 cents per share.

This combined payout of US$6.0 cents per ordinary share brings the total dividend distribution for the year to a significant $63 million.

The dividend is payable to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as of the close of business on May 15, 2026. To facilitate this, the register will be closed on May 18, 2026.

Nigerian shareholders will receive their payments in Naira, calculated using the prevailing exchange rate on May 14, 2026, while those on the London Stock Exchange will be paid in US Dollars.

The actual disbursement is scheduled for May 29, 2026, directly into the bank accounts of shareholders who have completed the e-dividend mandate.

This announcement underscores Seplat's commitment to delivering consistent value to its investors despite the volatile global energy landscape.

By combining a final dividend with a special payout, the company is signaling strong cash flow confidence and operational stability.
