A man, Lukmon Omobolaji Abiola, has cried to the Nigerian Police for help over incessant threats to his life.
Lukmon, who is a friend to the late Hon. Adeleke Adeyinka, a councillorship candidate for All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 15, Ibara, Abeokuta South Local Government, and won the primary election and Late Hon. Mutiu Akinbami disclosed this from his hideout.
Narrating his ordeal, Lukmon said that the friends were celebrating at Oke Ilewo, Ibara area in Abeokuta, when some unknown gunmen suddenly arrived and shot at us sporadically killing Hon. Adeleke Adeyinka.
He said they fled for their lives, and as they were running, the gunmen chased them and declared that he is the next target.
However, on the 5th of November, 2024, he received the call that Hon Akinbami has been shot dead, a situation which forced him to hide in a bush along the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway, Ogun State, where he was assisted by a man named LAKAYE, who is also a politician.
The incident was reported at the police station by Taiwo Adeseye and an affidavit also sworn by him.
Adeseye in the affidavit, said Lukmon is no longer safe in the country.
