Sanwo-Olu congratulates Badejo-Okusanya on emergence as NBA president.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, on her election as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), describing her emergence as a historic milestone for the legal profession.
In a statement shared on his official social media page, Sanwo-Olu noted that Badejo-Okusanya’s election as only the second woman to lead the NBA reflects her years of hard work, legal excellence and unwavering commitment to the rule of law.
He said her emergence was a well-deserved achievement and a source of inspiration for young women across Lagos and Nigeria who aspire to attain leadership positions.
“Becoming only the second female president in the history of the NBA is no small feat and is a well-deserved milestone. Over the years, she has built a reputation for excellence, legal precision and an unwavering commitment to the rule of law,” the governor stated.
According to him, her victory is a proud moment for the legal profession and demonstrates that dedication and professionalism remain key to attaining leadership.
Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence that the new NBA president would provide visionary leadership and contribute significantly to advancing the cause of justice in the country.
“On behalf of the government and people of Lagos State, I wish her a successful and impactful term in office,” he added.
Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed Lagos State Government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen the rule of law and expressed optimism that Badejo-Okusanya’s leadership would further enhance the legal profession and promote justice in Nigeria
