SAHCO Chairman, Taiwo Afolabi, honoured with Aviation Industry Investor’s Award at 14th NIGAV awards

Chairman of SIFAX Group, Barrister Dr Taiwo Afolabi (CON), has been presented with the Aviation Industry Investor’s Award at the 14th edition of the Nigeria Aviation (NIGAV) Awards and Ministerial Dinner, in recognition of his exceptional role in advancing Nigeria’s aviation industry.

At the prestigious event, widely regarded as the nation’s foremost air transport award ceremony, Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC — a subsidiary of SIFAX Group — was also celebrated with the Aircraft Handling Service Achievement Award.

Founder and Convener of the NIGAV Awards, Mr Fortune Idu, commended Dr Afolabi for his forward-thinking investments in ground handling, aviation services, and tourism, noting that these ventures have not only elevated standards but also contributed significantly to sectoral growth.

Mr Idu observed that Dr Afolabi’s leadership has positioned SAHCO as one of the continent’s most efficient ground handling firms, building on a broader legacy that spans marine operations, transport logistics, hospitality, and tourism.
