PZ Cussons Nigeria appoints Oghenekevwe Ogefere as new Company Secretary

PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Ms. Oghenekevwe Ogefere as its new Company Secretary.

The disclosure was made in a filing sent to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) to notify shareholders and the investing public.

The corporate action followed a meeting of the Board of Directors, where the transition was officially ratified.

According to the statement signed by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Oghale Elueni, the appointment became effective on June 29, 2026.

Ms. Ogefere joins PZ Cussons Nigeria with over thirteen years of professional experience across company secretarial practice, corporate and board governance, legal advisory, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to her appointment, she built an extensive career as a legal and regulatory affairs specialist, notably serving as the Senior Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Manager as well as the Data Protection Officer at Nigerian Breweries Plc.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Benin and is an active member of both the Nigerian Bar Association and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN).

The Board of Directors expressed its enthusiasm in welcoming Ms. Ogefere to the executive management team, noting that her deep institutional knowledge, compliance expertise, and strategic corporate governance background will bring immense value to the company during its current phase of operational growth.

The Board also expressed its sincere appreciation to the outgoing company secretary, Alsec Nominees Limited, acknowledging its years of dedicated service, professionalism, and valuable contributions to the consumer goods giant during its tenure.

This administrative transition comes on the heels of other major leadership adjustments within PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, following the recent appointments of Oghale Elueni as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, alongside Ebenezer Oludare Elusakin as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, signaling a comprehensive refresh of the company’s top executive cadre.
