The Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have finalized arrangements to commence the physical and credential screening phase for the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by the PSC Spokesman, Torty Njoku Kalu, the screening exercise is scheduled to take place nationwide between March 9 and April 18, 2026.
Candidates who successfully navigated the initial online registration phase are directed to visit the official recruitment portal to verify their status and print their invitation slips.
The commission emphasized that applicants must arrive at their designated venues as indicated on their printouts equipped with a specific set of documents, including their original National Identity Number (NIN) slips, O’Level certificates, and local government area certificates of origin.
Specialist candidates are additionally required to present relevant trade test certificates to validate their professional claims.Strict adherence to a mandatory dress code has been set for all participants.
Candidates are expected to appear at their respective screening centers across the Federation and the FCT wearing white T-shirts, white shorts, white stockings, and white canvas shoes.
The PSC has instructed that all credentials be neatly organized into two separate white flat files, containing both original documents and duplicates, with recent passport photographs attached to the designated forms.
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), has reaffirmed that the recruitment process remains entirely free of charge.
Warning against the activities of online impostors and scammers, the Chairman assured the public that the exercise would be governed by the principles of transparency and accountability.
He further cautioned that any individual attempting to compromise the integrity of the process through fraudulent means would face immediate arrest and prosecution.
