Police investigations into the recently disrupted same-sex party in Osogbo, Osun State, have reportedly led to the identification of a suspected woman, Abe Adetoro Funmilola, who is said to be the brain behind the gathering and a clandestine partaker in the abominable sexual act.

Emerging details show that the gathering had earlier been linked to an event said to have taken place on Wednesday, 6th November 2024, also at a hotel in Osogbo,

Intelligent reports led the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in collaboration with local security personnel to storm a hotel in Osogbo on the night of Wednesday, 20th November 2024, where a group of women allegedly assembled for what has been described by investigators as a same-sex themed party.

Following the raid, several women suspected to be lesbians were arrested, including one Adejumo Rosemary who appealed for leniency during questioning.

Rosemary allegedly cooperated and confessed to be a member of a same-sex group but mentioned Abe Adetoro Funmilola in her confession as the main organiser and initiator of most of the participants into the alleged same-sex acts.

Rosemary further urged investigators to pursue Adetoro, insisting she played a central role in coordinating the gatherings and luring most of the innocent girls into same sex practices.

In the course of investigations, police reportedly visited the residence of Adetoro in Osogbo. Her husband, however, told investigators that he had no knowledge of her whereabouts or any involvement in the alleged activities.

On Monday, police sources confirmed that ongoing investigations had led to the identification of Abe Adetoro Funmilola, a civil servant in the state as the principal suspect believed to be behind the organisation of the gatherings. Authorities said efforts were ongoing to locate and arrest her, as well as other individuals linked to the case.

Security agencies have vowed to continue investigations until all those connected to the alleged incident are apprehended and brought in for questioning.
