A new chapter in grassroots healthcare has begun in Daura Local Government Area, following the construction of a state-of-the-art private hospital funded by philanthropist Alhaji Ibrahim Sadauki.

The new Medicare Health Centre, fully equipped with modern medical infrastructure, promises to deliver essential health services including outpatient care, laboratory diagnostics, and emergency response. The facility is also fully staffed with qualified medical professionals and is set to begin operations immediately.

Explaining the motivation behind the project, Sadauki said his deep connection to the community drove the initiative. “I come from this environment. I understand the daily health challenges people face. Building Medicare is my way of giving back,” he stated.

The development has drawn commendations from prominent leaders and traditional rulers. The Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya, described the initiative as a powerful example of citizen-led progress.

“This centre is a testimony that private individuals can play a transformative role in national development. We are witnessing the fruits of compassion, patriotism, and commitment to community health,” he said.

Hon. Aminu Jamo, who represents Daura, Sandamu, and Mai’adua in the House of Representatives, also applauded the project and urged other well-meaning Nigerians to follow suit. “Public-private partnerships like this are crucial in bridging the healthcare gap across Nigeria,” he said.

The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk, offered royal blessings, calling the hospital a symbol of leadership, generosity, and humanity.

“This health centre is not just a building—it is a legacy of service, a gift to humanity, and a reflection of true leadership,” the Emir said. “May Allah reward the donor abundantly and grant this facility long-lasting success. Our people will never forget this act of generosity.”
