In a bid to renew its support and loyalty to the leadership of the Jigawa State PDP under the guidance of His Excellency, Alhaji Sule Lamido, and the State Working Committee, the members of the committee expressed their appreciation and commendation to the National Working Committee, the Board of Trustees, the National Executive Committee, and other organs of the party for the steps being taken so far to revamp the party.
The Jigawa PDP also expressed their appreciation to all organs of the party—namely the NWC, NEC, BOT, and PDP governors—for putting all necessary arrangements in place for the forthcoming national convention, based on the provisions of the constitution, rules, and regulations of the party.
According to the communiqué issued after the meeting and signed by Comrade Umar Kiyari Jitau, which was made available to newsmen, members of the party were urged to remain calm and support all decisions of the party as they unfold across the country.
Among the resolutions, the committee strongly called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to sanction three members of its staff who were the subjects of a petition for alleged misconduct in respect of the recently conducted by-election for Garki/Babura Federal Constituency.
