Oyetola’s wife leads Akoni Obinrin “Walk to Victory” rally for Oyebamiji

The wife of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola, on Saturday led members of the Akoni Obinrin support group on a “Walk to Win” rally in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).
The rally, which attracted hundreds of women under the Akoni Obinrin umbrella, marched through major streets in Osogbo, the state capital, in support of the APC and its governorship candidate ahead of the August 15 election.
Speaking during the rally, Mrs. Oyetola said the walk was organized to demonstrate the APC’s grassroots strength and mobilize voters ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
She stated that the group would also mobilize support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid and disclosed that the rally would be followed by the inauguration of the group’s door-to-door campaign across the state.
“I am here to show our support for the APC and its candidate in Osun State and to tell the entire world that the APC is firmly grounded in Osun.”
“We are here to encourage everybody to come out en masse and vote for AMBO. Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji will emerge victorious on August 15. He has many good plans for the people of Osun. He is a prudent manager; we have seen his record in the banking sector and believe he has the capacity to manage the economy of Osun State and improve the welfare of the people. We are also mobilizing support for President Bola Tinubu’s second term. Everybody knows the APC is a strong party in Osun State,” Mrs. Oyetola said.
Also speaking, the wife of the APC candidate, Dr. (Mrs.) Sekinah Oyebamiji, said the Akoni Obinrin movement was established to unite women across Osun State and mobilize support for the party’s governorship candidate ahead of the August 15 election.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Motunrayo Omidiran, expressed confidence in the APC’s chances, describing the growing support for the party as overwhelming.
“In Ikire, we are all for AMBO, no matter what. We are going to vote for our son. The whole of Osun State is already awake for AMBO. We own the streets now, and that is why we are doing this to demonstrate our strength. Between now and August 14, the end of the campaign, you will see more activities that will further show that the people are fully behind AMBO,” Omidiran said.
In his remarks, Bola Oyebamiji expressed confidence that he will emerge victorious in the August 15 governorship election in Osun State.
“This ‘Walk to Win’ organized by Akoni Obinrin and sponsored by our mother, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola, is aimed at sensitizing our people, especially women, on the importance of coming out to vote for the APC.”
“My advice to the people of Osun State is to come out and vote for the APC because, by doing so, they can expect good governance, a government of the people, by the people, and for the people,” he said.
