Oyebanji made history in Ekiti — Senator Bamidele

Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Leader of the 10th Senate, has stated that Governor Biodun Oyebanji made history in Ekiti State by becoming the first governor to be re-elected back-to-back since 1999.
This was contained in a statement issued through the senator’s official social media handle on Sunday.
According to Senator Bamidele, Oyebanji’s approach to governance and politics significantly contributed to his re-election.
He noted that the governor’s ability to unite stakeholders across party lines was key to the historic victory.
“Oyebanji’s approach to governance and politics significantly contributed to his re-election. He made history in Ekiti State as the first governor to be re-elected back-to-back since 1999, a testament to his approach to governance and his ability to unite the state’s stakeholders across party lines,” he said.
Senator Bamidele added that Oyebanji’s second term would consolidate ongoing reforms and deepen development initiatives.
“While congratulating him, I believe his second term will consolidate ongoing reforms, deepen development initiatives, and further position Ekiti State as a model of good governance and political stability in the country,” the Senate Leader said.
He also commended Ekiti voters for their peaceful conduct and active participation in the electoral process.
“I thank the people of Ekiti State for their peaceful conduct before, during, and after the election, and for demonstrating their faith in democracy through their active participation in the electoral process,” Senator Bamidele said.
