OTA emerging tax audit celebrates customer service week

The Emerging Tax Audit (OTA–ETA) team, a unit of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), is celebrating Customer Service Week 2025 with a renewed commitment to the theme, “Mission Possible.”
As a proud winner of the Outstanding Performance Award for both 2023 and 2024, the OTA–ETA team reaffirmed its dedication to the FIRS Management, stating that the Service’s goals and vision are not only achievable but are "already within our reach."
The unit pledged to work towards transforming the theme from “Mission Possible” to “Mission Accomplished.”
In its address to the public, the unit assured taxpayers of its unwavering dedication to quality service delivery, transparency, and professionalism.
The team acknowledged that public trust remains its greatest motivation and pledged to continue making tax administration simpler, fairer, and more efficient for all stakeholders.
The OTA–ETA also announced that the 2025 celebration would mark the final FIRS Customer Service Week (FIRS-CSW), as the agency looks forward to its planned transformation into the National Revenue Service (NRS) beginning next year.
In line with this impending transition, the OTA–ETA sought to calm public apprehension, assuring stakeholders that the ongoing Tax Reform is specifically designed to build a more reliable, technology-driven, and taxpayer-friendly system.
The team expressed confidence that this reform will deliver the best, most inclusive, and sustainable revenue system Nigeria has ever experienced, concluding: "Together, we move forward from Mission Possible to Mission Accomplished."
