A delegation of Osun State APC elders, operating under the aegis of Agba Osun, paid a courtesy visit to the former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Otunba Iyiola Omisore, at his country home in Ile-Ife on Monday.
The visit was centered on resolving internal frictions and charting a unified course for the party ahead of future electoral challenges.
Led by Baba Sola Akinwumi, the elders engaged in a closed-door session with Otunba Omisore to address the current state of the party.
The deliberations resulted in a unanimous resolution adopting Negotiation, Integration, and Reconciliation as the three strategic pillars essential for achieving a sustainable political victory.
The leaders emphasized that the party’s strength is currently compromised by internal differences and called for a renewed commitment to shared ideals.
The Agba Osun group maintained that true success for the APC in the state is only attainable if aggrieved members are sincerely engaged and diverse interests are harmonized through dialogue.
They warned that a divided house cannot stand the test of political competition, urging all stakeholders to prioritize collective loyalty over individual ambitions.
The elders specifically called for an era of inclusiveness and open communication to guide the party’s upcoming actions and internal reforms.
Responding to the delegation, Otunba Iyiola Omisore expressed his gratitude for the visit and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the stability and growth of the APC.
He pledged his readiness to support any efforts aimed at strengthening internal cohesion and positioning the party for greater electoral achievements.
The meeting concluded on an optimistic note, with the elders expressing confidence that the new three-pillar strategy would usher in a period of cooperation and harmony within the state’s party structure.
