Osun Amotekun warns against secret society activities

The Osun Amotekun Corps has issued a strong warning against any attempts by cult groups or secret societies to hold meetings or engage in any form of activity that may threaten the peace and security of the state.
The Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun, Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele emphasized the unwavering commitment of the Corps to ensuring the safety and stability of Osun State.
This was contained on Monday in the statement signed by the Osun Corps Public Relations Officer, Yusuf Idof tohat the state government, through its security architecture, will not tolerate any individual or group attempting to disturb the peace under the guise of cultural or secret celebrations.
He also encouraged citizens to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest security post.
He stated that, “Any person or group planning to hold meetings or carry out activities associated with secret cults or societies will be met with the full weight of the law. Osun State is a land of peace, and we will not allow any elements to disrupt the harmony we have worked so hard to build.
“We want to make it abundantly clear,” Omoyele said, “that anyone caught engaging in cult-related activities will face immediate arrest and prosecution. There will be zero tolerance for actions that threaten the security of lives and property.”
The Commander reaffirmed the Corps’ dedication to preserving law and order in Osun State, noting that security is a shared responsibility between the government and the people.
