Osogbo residents laud Oyebamiji, back governorship bid

Leaders and residents of the Olobedu community in the Ayekale-Ota-Efun area of Osogbo have thrown their weight behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO.

The residents expressed confidence in Oyebamiji’s charismatic leadership and administrative experience to lead Osun State to new heights.

The community also extolled Oyebamiji’s spouse, Dr. Sekinat Bola-Oyebamiji, for sponsoring the massive grading of internal roads across the five zones that make up the community.

Speaking on behalf of the residents, the central Chairman of the Olobedu community, Alhaji Azeez Sikiru, said the grading exercise marks the beginning of significant improvements in the area.

He noted that the community had not previously benefited from such an intervention from any individual or government entity.

Alhaji Sikiru explained that Olobedu is a large community comprising over 2,500 completed houses, yet it has long faced challenges with deplorable road networks.

He noted that the grading would drastically reduce transport fares and ease mobility for residents who previously struggled to navigate the area, especially during heavy rainfall.

“We are firmly ready to support Oyebamiji’s candidature and ensure his victory in the forthcoming governorship election,” Sikiru stated.

He also used the opportunity to appeal for further support, citing the need for transformers and a permanent solution to a connecting road that remains impassable during downpours.

The community members offered prayers for Oyebamiji’s success in the August 15 election, affirming their commitment to his vision for a more prosperous Osun State.
