The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has announced the arrival of a baby girl with his wife, Olori Oluwatosin, only a few months after welcoming twin princes with another wife, Olori Mariam Ajibola.
The monarch made the announcement on Sunday through a post on his official Facebook page, expressing gratitude to God for the safe delivery.
According to the traditional ruler, both the mother and the newborn are in good health following the delivery.
“To God Almighty be all the glory for his unfailing grace and the precious gift of new life,” the Ooni stated.
He also congratulated members of the House of Oduduwa on the arrival of the new royal princess, while praying for the child to grow in wisdom, grace and honour.
The latest addition to the royal family comes about three months after the Ooni announced the birth of twin boys with Olori Mariam Ajibola.
The monarch had in May celebrated the arrival of the twins, expressing appreciation to God and confirming that the mother and children were doing well.
The recent birth has further added to the growing number of children in the Ooni’s royal household, with the monarch maintaining a prominent position in the traditional institution of Ile-Ife.
The new arrival is expected to be celebrated by members of the royal family and well-wishers across the country.
