Ooni of Ife Pledges Support for new Osun Immigration Comptroller

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, received the newly deployed Osun State Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Morakinyo Akinyemi, at his palace on Monday.
Comptroller Akinyemi, who visited to seek royal blessings, emphasized that collaboration between the NIS and traditional institutions is vital for effective border control and national security.
The Ooni, who serves as the Permanent Co-chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, commended the agency's role in safeguarding the nation.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the NIS, noting that traditional rulers remain essential partners in governance and societal development.
