Ondo ADC vice chairman resigns

The Vice Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ondo State, Dr. Eric Oluwole, has officially resigned his membership from the party.

Oluwole announced the decision on Thursday in a letter addressed to the Ward 7 leadership in Ondo West Local Government Area, citing deep-seated and irreconcilable leadership differences. As the State Vice Chairman overseeing the Ondo Central Senatorial District, he stated that the ongoing internal crisis had become a significant barrier to his political goals.

“The move followed wide consultations with my political leaders, allies, supporters, and my entire political structure,” Oluwole said. “I wish to state that the leadership crisis rocking the ADC is beyond my understanding and is frustrating my aspirations and those of my supporters.”

He expressed concern that the instability within the party was preventing his political structure from contributing meaningfully to the development of Ondo State and Nigeria. He noted that he could no longer navigate the "unsettling development" currently characterizing the party's hierarchy.

According to Oluwole, a readiness to forgive and reconcile is essential for any political organization to function effectively. He argued that where such qualities are absent, members' efforts become futile regardless of their programs or intentions.

Looking ahead, the former Vice Chairman revealed that he and his entire political structure are withdrawing from the party to seek a more conducive environment. He signaled his intention to join another political platform where he can continue to render selfless service to the people.
