…tours Ijesa North ahead of APC primaries
Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has reiterated his commitment to run an inclusive government if elected as Governor in the 2026 general election.
The former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) made this known while addressing party faithful during his consultation tour of local government areas in Ijesa North ahead of the APC governorship primaries scheduled for December this year.
Omisore emphasised the importance of fairness and standard practice in the reward system of governance, assuring party members that loyalty and dedication would be duly recognised under his administration.
At Obokun Local Government, Senator Omisore promised improved infrastructure, quality education, affordable healthcare, and digital inclusion aimed at transforming rural economies.
While addressing a large crowd at Ijebujesa, headquarters of Oriade Local Government, the governorship hopeful said his ambition was driven by the desire to create prosperity for all citizens, free from the nepotism and sectionalism currently affecting the state’s development.
Speaking with reporters after the event, Professor Siji Olamiju, a former cabinet adviser to ex-Governor Gboyega Oyetola, described Omisore as “courageous, humane, and deeply connected with the people across various sectors of the economy.”
Also, the Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Government, Hon. Bunmi Obaesun, praised Senator Omisore for his exemplary leadership, noting that “Otunba has always been a source of inspiration and a model of true political leadership.”
