Nwafor Orizu College of Education gets new provost

Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has appointed Prof. Victor Ndirika as the new Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe.

This is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Awka by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Christian Aburime.

According to the statement, Ndirika, an agricultural engineer, was, until his appointment, a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

It described the new provost as an accomplished lecturer, administrator and researcher, with numerous peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals.

The statement expressed confidence that Ndirika would leverage his experience to reposition the institution for excellence in teacher education.

“Prof. Ndirika is expected to lead the college into a new era of all-round excellence in producing world-class teachers for Anambra and beyond,” it said
