The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), have partnered to boost private-sector investment.

Both organisations are also collaborating to increase commercial opportunities for Nigerian startups and enterprises.

The is contained in a joint statement on Monday in Abuja.

The statement was signed by NITDA Director of Corporate Communications Hadiza Umar, and Dr Segun Olugbile, NACCIMA Digital Economy Coordinator and Chairman, Digital Economy Trade Group.

According to the statement, the partnership is aimed at connecting technology startups with corporate investors, business buyers and financing opportunities to accelerate the growth of Nigeria’s digital economy.

“Under this partnership, NACCIMA serves as an official private-sector investor pipeline.

‘’NACCIMA also serves as commercial off-taker facilitator for NITDA-backed startups, technology ventures, and enterprise financing initiatives.

“The collaboration bridges the gap between government technology supply, innovators, and regulatory frameworks, and real-sector demand.

“This will run across NACCIMA’s nationwide network of over 120 city, state, and bilateral chambers, as well as industrial conglomerates,” it said.

The statement said that the partnership would prioritise three initiatives including private-sector mobilisation for the Digital Nigeria International Conference and Exhibition (DNICE) 2026.

The other two initiatives, it said, include an Artificial Intelligence (AI) enterprise accelerator and a digital trust mark platform.

It said that DNICE 2026 was scheduled to hold in Abuja from Nov. 10 to Nov. 12, with NACCIMA expected to facilitate business-to-business deal rooms.

‘’NACCIMA will also mobilise corporate investors and venture capital firms, and connect indigenous startups with potential buyers, ‘’ it said.

It quoted NITDA Director-General Kashifu Inuwa as saying that the partnership would help indigenous startups move beyond developing technology solutions to securing corporate buyers, domestic investment and sustainable commercial contracts.

It also quoted NACCIMA National President Jani Ibrahim as saying that the association was committed to connecting traditional industries, including agriculture, manufacturing, trade and mining, with innovative digital solutions.

‘’The collaboration will also leverage technical talent under the Federal Government’s 3 Million Technical Talent programme to improve enterprise productivity and build a resilient economy, ‘’ Ibrahim said.

The statement said that both organisations established a Joint Technical Working Group to coordinate the implementation.

The statement said that the group would be co-chaired by the Director of Special Duties at NITDA, Dr Aristotle Onumo, and NACCIMA National Digital Economy Coordinator Segun Olugbile.
