Nigeria eurobond yields hit 8.06% — DMO

Yields on Nigeria’s sovereign Eurobonds traded in the international capital market reached 8.06% as prices rose up to $119.80 per unit on Monday, August 10, 2026, according to official data released by the Debt Management Office (DMO).

The figures, compiled by Bloomberg and published by the debt agency, track performance across 15 active dollar-denominated Eurobond maturities spanning short-, medium-, and long-term instruments.

According to the DMO report, short-dated papers registered lower yields alongside strong pricing. The $1.5 billion Eurobond maturing in November 2027 (6.500% coupon) closed at a price of $100.993 with a yield of 5.684%, while the $1.25 billion note maturing in September 2028 (6.125% coupon) closed at $100.316 with a yield of 5.960%.

Medium-term notes maintained firm valuation levels across the board.

The $1.25 billion March 2029 bond (8.375% coupon) closed at $105.683 with a yield of 5.991%, while the $1.2 billion February 2030 paper (7.143% coupon) traded at $102.675 with a yield of 6.285%.

Similarly, the $1.0 billion January 2031 note (8.747% coupon) closed at $108.324 yielding 6.555%, and the $700 million June 2031 instrument (9.625% coupon) recorded a price of $112.231 with a yield of 6.618%.

The highest unit price across the debt portfolio was recorded by the $1.5 billion December 2034 Eurobond (10.375% coupon), which closed at $119.801 with a yield of 7.172%.

Conversely, the peak yield among the instruments was logged by the long-dated $1.25 billion September 2051 bond (8.250% coupon), which traded at $101.957 with a yield of 8.066%.

Other long-term paper yields reflected elevated demand across international markets. The $1.25 billion February 2038 note (7.696% coupon) closed at $102.372 with a yield of 7.386%, while the $1.10 billion January 2046 bond (9.129% coupon) closed at $110.920, yielding 8.011%.

Additionally, the $1.5 billion November 2047 bond (7.625% coupon) closed at $98.001 with a yield of 7.818%, and the $750 million January 2049 instrument (9.248% coupon) traded at $112.756 with a yield of 8.013%.
