NiDCOM congratulates Nigeria’s first indigenous female Neurosurgeon on U.S. Medical Director appointment

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has congratulated Nigeria’s first indigenous female neurosurgeon, Dr. Salamat Ahuoiza Aliu-Ibrahim, on her appointment as the Medical Director of a children’s hospital in the United States.

Dabiri-Erewa described the appointment as another remarkable milestone for Nigerians in the diaspora and a testament to the exceptional contributions of Nigerian professionals worldwide.

She noted that Dr. Aliu-Ibrahim’s achievement reinforces the fact that excellence knows no gender, race, or religion, adding that her success serves as an inspiration to millions of young Nigerians particularly young women aspiring to enter medicine and other demanding fields.

She further emphasized that the appointment sends a powerful message that Muslim women continue to break barriers and excel across all professional spheres despite stereotypes.
