NFF appoints Éric Sékou Chelle as new Super Eagles Coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced the appointment of Éric Sékou Chelle as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles.

The unveiling took place on Monday at the Media Conference Room in the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. Chelle was appointed following a recommendation by the NFF’s Technical and Development Committee.

He becomes the third coach to take charge of the national team since the departure of José Peseiro. The 47-year-old will lead the Super Eagles B team at next month’s African Nations Championship in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, before focusing on the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which start with matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.
