Senator Prince Ned Nwoko has marked his 65th birthday with a renewed commitment to public service, describing the occasion as a time for reflection rather than celebration.
In a statement shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday, the lawmaker expressed gratitude to God for life and the opportunity to serve Nigeria, particularly his Anioma constituency and Delta State.
Nwoko said his years in public life have strengthened his resolve to contribute to nation-building through legislation, advocacy and forward-looking policy ideas aimed at securing a better future for coming generations.
According to him, the milestone birthday highlights the responsibilities that come with leadership, including the need to speak out against injustice, take difficult decisions when necessary and remain committed to fairness and progress.
“I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to contribute to nation-building through legislation, advocacy and ideas that look beyond the present to the future we owe our children,” he said.
The senator also appreciated his family, friends and associates for their support, as well as the people he represents for their trust and confidence.
“Your goodwill strengthens my resolve to continue serving with clarity of purpose, courage of conviction and loyalty to the ideals we share,” Nwoko added.
