NCDMB alerts public to fraudulent registration portal
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has raised an alarm over a fraudulent online platform impersonating the agency to target job seekers and professionals seeking capacity development.
The fake portal, currently circulating across social media and online platforms, falsely advertises itself as an official registration hub for NCDMB training programs.
In a public notice, the NCDMB management disowned the platform entirely, clarifying that the site is neither operated nor endorsed by the Board.
The agency warned members of the public against submitting personal or financial information on the fraudulent site, directing all prospective applicants exclusively to nogicjqs.gov.ng, the sole legitimate platform for all official NCDMB training and human capital initiatives.
The agency further highlighted its strict policy that all official NCDMB services, including training registrations, are completely free of charge.
Warning that it will never demand payment or processing fees, the Board stated it accepts no liability for financial loss or data compromise resulting from interaction with unauthorized portals.
Security and regulatory agencies have been engaged to track down the cybercriminals behind the scheme and shut down the domain.
Members of the public have been advised to verify official communications through the official website at ncdmb.gov.ng or by emailing info@ncdmb.gov.ng.
