Nasarawa Assembly Speaker secures transformers for Toto LGA

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi says he has secured two 33 KVA transformers for communities in Toto Local Government Area.

Balarabe-Abdullahi made this known to journalists on Wednesday shortly after installation of one of the transformers in Toto.

The speaker said that installation of the transformer would boost electricity supply and enhance socioeconomic activities of people in the area.

He said that the transformers would also improve the living standard of people, boost revenue and enhance development in the beneficiary communities.

The speaker said that his determination to lobby for the transformers from the state government was informed by the importance of electricity to human and societal development.

According to him, one of the transformers was installed in Toto, Headquarters of Toto Local Government Area.

He said that the remaining one would be installed in Gadabuke, headquarters of Gadabuke Development Area of the state.

The speaker, therefore, lauded Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his gesture, assuring him of his people’s resolve to support his administration beyond 2023.

“The governor, in his magnanimity, has graciously approved the installation of the transformers for me in any part of my local government where necessary.

“I am from Umaisha/Ugya Constituency of Toto Local Government Area.

“Let the people of Toto and Gadabuke feel my impact in this aspect, because Toto Local Government is my local government as the project will gradually be expanded to other areas,” Balarabe-Abdullahi said.

Also, the Executive Chairman, Toto LGA, Prince Nuhu Adamu Dauda,  commended the speaker for his leadership qualities.

“I want to appreciate our amiable speaker for ensuring that our local government gets these transformers in order to boost the socioeconomic activities of our people.

“I also thank His Excellency for donation of the transformers. He is an investment-friendly governor who have the desire to industrialise and develop the state.

“We will continue to remain grateful to Him and support his administration at all times to succeed,” Dauda said.

He assured people of the council area of his administration’s determination to sustain the peace being enjoyed in the area.
