The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of serving and retired personnel.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, made this known at the 2026 Annual CAS Parley with veterans in Kaduna on Saturday.
Represented by AVM Anthony Martins, Aneke said Air Force achievements were built on veterans’ sacrifices, adding that their welfare remained a priority.
“This makes it imperative for the service to stay fully committed to the wellbeing of both serving and retired personnel,” he said.
He noted that tailored welfare packages had been designed to improve veterans’ quality of life and assure serving personnel of care after retirement.
In a welcome address, AOC Air Training Command, AVM Esen Paul Efanga, thanked veterans for their service to the nation.
Efanga said the parley allowed reflection on veterans’ roles, adding that the Armed Forces would continue to draw from their experience.
Veterans Welfare Association Chairman, Usman Yusuf, described the event as “wonderful,” saying it would significantly improve veterans’ welfare.
It was gathered that the event included a medical outreach and an interactive question-and-answer session.
