NADWAT Global Assembly unveils activities to mark 25th anniversary

The NADWAT Global Assembly has announced a series of events to celebrate its 25th anniversary, with a grand finale scheduled for Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the car park beside Conoil Filling Station, opposite the Federal Ministry of Justice, Marina, Lagos Island.
According to a statement from the organisation’s national headquarters, the silver jubilee celebration will feature a thanksgiving service, award presentations to dedicated members, an empowerment programme for members, and the inauguration of newly nominated national executive council members.
The statement noted that the anniversary theme focuses on reflection, renewal, and community service, highlighting the organisation’s continued mission of promoting faith-based leadership, social development, and spiritual enlightenment.
It added that the anniversary lecture will be delivered by Shaikh Abdur Rahmaan A. Lawal (Ph.D. Mahir), who serves as the Head Mission and National Imaam of NADWAT.
As part of activities marking the milestone, NADWAT has lined up a weeklong programme aimed at deepening its outreach, humanitarian service, and community engagement.
The activities began on Sunday, October 19, 2025, with a medical outreach held at NADWAT Mosque, 67/69 Igbosere Road, Lagos Island, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, a special prayer session by the Council of Ustadz was held between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The programme continued on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, with a press briefing and cutting of the anniversary cake at NADWAT Headquarters Mosque between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 23, 2025, was dedicated to the Women’s Day Seminar in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and special prayers for departed members in the evening from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at NADWAT Mosque.
A special anniversary Jumu’ah service was held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the NADWAT Central Mosque, Igbosere Road, Lagos Island, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The Youth Summit took place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., setting the stage for the grand finale.
The closing ceremony on Sunday, October 26, 2025, will feature the thanksgiving service, award presentations, empowerment programme, and the formal inauguration of the new national executive council members, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Marina, Lagos.
NADWAT Global Assembly, guided by its motto “Wamaa Tawfiqi Illa Billah” (meaning “My success is only by Allah”), has over the years made notable contributions to moral upliftment, educational development, and social empowerment through its faith-inspired programmes.
