
N518m empowerment: Lawmaker supports Katsina constituents
Rep. Sani Danlami (APC-Katsina), has distributed empowerment packages to his constituents worth N518 million to improve their living conditions and make them self-reliant.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony on Tuesday in Katsina, Danlami said the items included 20 cars that comprised of buses, mini trucks, and a Hilux to be used for security operations.
Others, he said, were 150 motorcycles, 150 tailoring machines and 150 water pumping machines for irrigation farmers.
He added that there were also 50 grinding machines, 300 bags of fertilizer, 60 insecticide sprayers, and N60 million cash assistance to some selected people in the constituency.
The lawmaker, who represents the Katsina Federal Constituency also explained that the beneficiaries included women, youths, various groups and party officials, among others.
He stated that the gesture was aimed at boosting small-scale businesses and farming activities in the area.
Danlami also extolled Gov. Dikko Radda’s achievements in education, security and healthcare.
“I want to assure you today that as representatives in the National Assembly, we are fully behind you,” he said
In his remarks, Radda praised the lawmaker for implementing an impressive empowerment programme worth over half a billion Naira for his constituents.
“Today, we witnessed the distribution of genuine empowerment materials including motorcycles, tailoring machines, grinding machines, irrigation equipment, and sewing machines.
“This is the kind of impactful representation we need, and delivering visible and tangible results to the people,” Radda stated.
