Michael Ombugadu unveiled as APC Nasarawa Deputy Governorship candidate

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has unveiled Hon. Chief Michael Emmanuel Ombugadu as its deputy governorship candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a post on Facebook by the Nassarawa APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Aliyu Wadada described the selection as a partnership rooted in competence, public finance expertise, and state-wide inclusion, emphasizing Ombugadu’s more than thirty years in public administration.
Ombugadu’s professional background spans early career work at Ashaka Cement Plc, academic administration at the Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic in Lafia, and senior public service at the Nasarawa State Pension Bureau, where he served as Director of Finance and Accounts.
Wadada hailed Chief Ombugadu as a grassroots man noting that his political journey spans decades, marked by resilience, loyalty and commitment to his people.
“His decision to put party and collective interest above personal ambition during the recent political processes further demonstrates the character and maturity he brings to this ticket. Beyond the positions he has held, I value the man: his humility, his loyalty, his understanding of our people, and his commitment to service.”
“Together, we are building a ticket that reflects the diversity of Nasarawa State and speaks to the aspirations of our people across the 13 Local Government Areas, 18 Development Areas and 147 wards.”
“Our message remains clear:One Nasarawa. One people. One future. We will run a campaign that unites rather than divides; that focuses on issues rather than sentiments; and that puts the development, security, prosperity and dignity of the people of Nasarawa State above every other consideration.”
“With Chief Michael Emmanuel Ombugadu by my side, we are even more prepared for the task ahead,” Wadada wrote.
