Matawalle accepts appointment as APC campaign council Deputy Director

Former Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, has accepted his appointment as Deputy Director of Security and Intelligence for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.
In a statement expressing appreciation for the confidence reposed in him, Matawalle described the appointment as both an honour and a call to greater responsibility ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He stated that he received the appointment with humility, gratitude, and a deep sense of duty, stressing that he understood the assignment to be far more than just a political position.
“I am truly honoured to be called upon to serve once again in an assignment of such national importance,” Matawalle said.
According to him, the new responsibility requires sacrifice, commitment, and strategic thinking as the APC begins preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
Matawalle recalled his role in the 2023 APC Presidential Campaign Council, where he served as Zonal Coordinator for the North-West, noting that the experience of working across the seven states in the region remains a pivotal chapter in his political career.
He expressed his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for granting him another opportunity to contribute to the campaign effort.
“That experience remains one of the most important chapters of my political career, and I am humbled by the opportunity to serve again,” he said.
The former governor also pledged to leverage the experience gained during the 2023 election in his new role, affirming that he would work to strengthen the party’s security and intelligence operations throughout the campaign.
Matawalle highlighted his sustained support for the Tinubu administration since the 2023 polls, pointing to his establishment of the Tinubu Again Movement, a nationwide platform created to communicate the achievements, policies, and programmes of the administration to Nigerians.
He said he would redouble my efforts, deepen my commitment, and bring greater energy, experience, and strategic thinking to the assignment.
The APC chieftain also acknowledged the party leadership for entrusting him with the role, promising to work closely with the Director-General and fellow members of the Presidential Campaign Council.
“I will give this assignment my very best and remain focused on the collective objective of securing victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the All Progressives Congress in 2027,” he stated.
Pledging loyalty and diligence to the campaign, Matawalle reiterated that he is fully prepared for the task ahead.
“I am ready for the task. I accept the appointment fully and will redouble my efforts to ensure that the confidence reposed in me is justified by results,” he said.
He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda and the APC’s 2027 presidential campaign, while praying for the continued success of President Tinubu, the party, and Nigeria.
